    Access & Parking

    Simple to be reached by car or public transport.

     

    By public transport to Laax Bergbahnen: By train to Chur, then via Bus 81 to Laax Bergbahnen.

     

    By car directly to Laax Bergbahnen:  Via Chur to the public parking at the Laax Bergbahnen. At the end of the competition, you can take bus 411 from Flims Bergbahnen to travel back to the parking at Laax Bergbahnen (make sure you keep your Gondola ticket for a free ride).


    Headquarters

    • The distribution of the tickets and trackers will be done in front of the Ikigai restaurant at the center of Rocks Resort, close to the Gondola in Laax Murschetg.
      • If you travel by public transport, exit "Laax Bergbahnen", then walk 100m straight into the rocks resort center.
      • If you park your car in the parking at Laax Bergbahnen, take the elevator in Building G, walk 30 meters straight out of the house.
    • Safety manager will be on Crap Sogn Gion.
    • Tracker return will be at Cafe Ella in Flims.
    • Prize giving will be at Ella's restaurant in Flims

    Flying Area

    The flying site is described in detail here. Crap Sogn Gion offers splendid flying conditions for XC flying early in the year and often is well protected in difficult wind situations. As we fly in a high-mountain area and as soon as we leave the Flims/Laax area, it is important to understand the effects of different regional wind directions. This is an interesting read for your briefing. We will land at landing site Flims Kirche. An alternative landing site is close by: Flims.

    Launch site

    We launch from Crap Sogn Gion. Details regarding the flying site you can find here.

    Access: Use the gondola from Laax Murschetg/Bergbahnen directly to Crap Sogn Gion.

    Landing place

    We plan to land at Flims Kirche (backup Flims).

    Briefing

    Briefings will be held close to the south take-off on Crap Sogn Gion.

    Prize Giving

    Price giving will be made at the Restaurant Ella in the Stenna Center in Flims. 

    This is just next to the public transport stop "Flims Bergbahnen". From Flims Begbahnen, you can conveniently take bus 81 towards Chur or the local bus 411 (free) to travel back to Laax Bergbahnen.

    Your Stay

    There are several accommodation possibilities.

    • Camping Trin (no reservation)
      • 16CHF per night for a van, 10CHF per night for a tent, electricity 5CHF per night
      • 14CHF per night per person 
      • Bus connection by public transport to Laax Bergbahnen
      • Caution, with valley wind creating a strong lee situation at the camping, landing nearby can be very dangerous

    Liability & Insurance

    Every participant needs to make sure he/she be insured appropriately.

    Vol Liber Grischun denies liability to the maximum possible extent.
